Xpansiv, a leading infrastructure provider for global energy transition markets, has announced two key additions to its executive team as it continues to scale its platform for environmental commodities.
Kristina Schaefer-Williams has been appointed Senior Vice President of Sales, while Michael Applebaum joins as Vice President of Marketing.
The appointments, announced last week, are aimed at strengthening Xpansiv’s go-to-market strategy as demand grows for sustainable infrastructure supporting carbon, renewable energy, and other environmental commodities.
Xpansiv CEO John Melby highlighted that Schaefer-Williams and Applebaum bring extensive experience and strong leadership to the company.

According to Melby, their expertise will be essential as Xpansiv grows its platform and expands its customer base in global energy transition markets.
Schaefer-Williams brings nearly 20 years of experience in sales and operational leadership.
She most recently served as Vice President of Sales at Diligent, a SaaS company focused on governance, risk, and compliance.
Prior to that, she held senior sales roles at Thomson Reuters during a 15-year tenure.
“Xpansiv is blazing the path for companies and governments to manage environmental commodities across their full lifecycle,” Schaefer-Williams said.
Applebaum joins with over two decades of marketing leadership in technology and sustainability sectors.
He has held executive roles at Indigo Ag, Opower, and Tenable, contributing to the growth and IPO success of multiple companies.
At Opower, he led the development of a sales strategy that supported over 50% annual growth.
“Xpansiv provides the complete platform for environmental commodities,” Applebaum said.
With these strategic hires, Xpansiv aims to deepen customer relationships, sharpen its market presence, and drive sustained growth amid the accelerating global energy transition.
