RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — A Raleigh business was heavily damaged when a car ran into the building.
ABC11 got a closer look at the damage inside at Carolina Kettle.
“Yeah, a little sad. You know, unfortunately, we got to close for a little while. Um, so, yeah, you never like to do that, but. But there’s no stopping it when someone crashes their car in the front end of your small business,” said Josh Monahan who is an owner of the chip company.
Video from overnight shows us a different perspective of the car that rammed into the building.
Raleigh police tell us it happened just after 12:30 a.m. when they got the call about the crash.
Eyewitnesses say they saw a man and a woman leave the scene soon after.
Police brought K9’s out to try and find them with no luck.
Meanwhile Monahan is back this morning surveying the damage.
“It’ll probably take a couple of weeks to replace everything. And then as far as getting the building itself fixed back up, I don’t know how long that takes. So, you know, we still sell it online and so you can still get our products elsewhere, but we’ll be closed here for the time being,” he said.
The damage also extended to Goff Performance that is in the same building.
